Day 1–11th June Shanghai

  • Arrive into Shanghai and meet your tour guide and start your great journey in Shanghai
  • Welcome dinner

Day 2–12th June Shanghai

  • Visit the Jin Mao Tower to overlook the whole city
  • Walking tour of the Bund
  • Visit Yu Garden and Chenghuangmiao Bazaar to experience the architecture style and enjoy the beautiful gardens inside
  • Dinner in Xintiandi where represent the face of old Shanghai
  • Evening Acrobatic show (the renowned ERA)

Day 3–13th June Shanghai

  • Visit the Shanghai Museum
  • Visit the local Jde Buddha Temple
  • Transfer to Hangzhou on the morning of Day 3 to spend the week with your school exchange

Days 4-9–14th – 19 th June

  • Hangzhou – Your school exchange (independent)

Day 10–20th June Hangzhou – Xi’an

  • Huiling Community Center (service learning exchange program). A center for the mentally handicapped, students will provide moral support by interacting with the residents and by helping with arts and crafts that the center then sells
  • Xi’an Cuisine Welcome Dinner
  • Enjoy a traditional Shadow Puppet Show

Day 11–21st June Xi’an

  • Walk on top of the Ancient City Walls, and even bike ride around the wall to enjoy the best views on Xian
  • Experience the hustle and bustle of the famed Muslim Quarter, visiting the Great Mosque and seeing the Bell Tower and Drum Tower
  • Visit Shaanxi History Museum and take part in an educational history hunt activity
  •  Pottery making class; make your parents or yourself a your very own Terracotta Warrior or handmade trinket, or even have a try at the potter’s wheel (please note, the firing and drying process takes several days so the finished products will be mailed to WildChina Beijing office, our guide will give it back to you when you are in Beijing)
  • Evening visit to the Big Goose Pagoda to witness the beautiful Water Fountain Show
  • Chinese Dumpling Banquet Dinner

Day 12–22nd June Xi’an

  • Visit the famous Terracotta Warriors & Museum
  • Explore the Liao Yuan Cave Village to see how local people lived and thrived in their cave homes
  • Free time in the evening to explore downtown Xi’an
  • Chinese Hotpot Dinner

Day 13–23rd June Xi’an – Shaolin

  • Take the high-speed train from Xi’an to Luoyang
  • Transfer to visit The Longmen Grottoes, including a scavenger hunt
  • Henan Cuisine welcome dinner

Day 14–24th June Shaolin

  • Climb Song Mountain
  • Visit Shaolin Temple and lunch at Vegetarian Restaurant
  • Visit Local Martial Arts school and enjoy a Kung Fu performance given by local students and their master
  • Kungfu Lessons with local kungfu students and teachers

Day 15–25th June Shaolin – Beijing

  • Depart Shaolin, transferring to Luoyang and taking the train to Beijing via Zhengzhou (5hrs)
  • Beijing Cuisine welcome dinner (Inc. Peking Duck)

Day 16–26th June Beijing

  • Visit the Village of Hexi at the foot of the great wall for an experience of rural China
  • Experience the Chinese rural way of living, exploring the local farms, village courtyards, and learning how to make Chinese Dumplings in a traditional village home
  • Hike the Great Wall of China at Jinshanling and hike from the East Tower with Five Holesto Zhuanduo Pass
  • BBQ dinner at the base of the Wall

Day 17–27th June Beijing

  • Join local Beijingers in morning activities at the Temple of Heaven
  • Walk across Tiananmen Square followed by exploring the Forbidden City (including educational scavenger hunt)
